Prayer Apps 101

Current (13th March of 2026) active users on Google Play shows 228 553 users and due to new apps published the overall statistics looks like this: Statistics site https://www.appbrain.com/dev/Prayer+Apps/ In comparison to 07/2026 I have reduced number of apps to 70 and active users increased by 26 thousand. I have removed the apps which did not perform well and maintaining them is a waste of time. Number of total downloads stayed on 2 million and I stayed in top 10% worldwide. Monthly downloads increased to 30 thousand, which moved the account to the top 5% of all google developer accounts. Average rating moved from 4.66 to 4.67 and stayed in top 10%. Number of ratings increased from 20 thousand to 22 thousand and stayed in top 5%. Compared to 03/2025 app statistics  no new apps were released.   Google Play statistics from 18th December: 2024  https://www.appbrain.com/dev/Prayer+Apps/  shows continuous decline in average rating from 4.67 to 4.65 and 1000 more reviews - from 18 thousand to 19 thousand. Average monthly download rate stayed the same at approximately 10 thousand downloads a month. Total downloads moved up to 2 million downloads. Total apps count increased due to paid PRO versions and removal of in-app purchases within the app to make the buying process more simple and error resistant. Only 2 new apps were launched: Saint Francis of Assisi , Saint Clare of Assisi . 3 apps got so popular, I made a paid advertisement free versions available for download: Saint Rita prayer  PRO, Padre Pio PRO and Saint Bridget PRO.  Later in December I have launched 3 more apps: Saint Faustina ,  Saint Seraphim of Sarov and Saint Philomena .   Google Play statistics from 21st October 2023  https://www.appbrain.com/dev/Prayer+Apps/  shows that in last 2 years (since my 2021 app statistics check ): 25 apps or games were removed. Mostly due removing paid apps migrating to in-app purchases and removing apps and games with minimal downloads. No significant new apps have been added in last 2 years, as I have been focuses on my family rising 3 small kids, my full time day job and house repairs. So mostly all my app work was doing app bug fixing and updates required by Google Play. 200 000 new downloads in 2 years.  Monthly downloads dropped by 50 % to 10 thousand a month. The average app rating continues to drop - from 4.75 to 4.67. 3 200 new ratings. Prayers Audio App continues to grow - statistics here . My Prayer Apps YouTube channel continues to grow.   Statistics from 25th October 2021  https://www.appbrain.com/dev/Prayer+Apps/  shows that since end of 2020: Two more apps were added. 200 000 new downloads.  The average rating dropped from 4.88 to 4.75. 3 300 new ratings.

source:  https://www.appbrain.com/dev/Prayer+Apps/ According to AppBrain, which is tracking the app statistics on Google Play, since November 2018, where I have uploaded my first app to Google Play Apps, there has been more than 600 thousands app downloads and average rating is among top 1% on the Play store. It feels good to know, that my apps have helped hundreds of thousands users and they have given the apps more than 10 thousand ratings with average rating 4.88 of 5. All those days and days spent on crating the apps have been useful to so many people. Big thank you to all the users and their positive comments on the Play store.
